2017 brought us a lot of adventures. We traveled 32 hours to Thailand, shot incredible weddings, met so many amazing couples, attended a lot of fun events, played in the snow, grew a year older, and hopefully grew a little wiser. It's always so much fun to go back and look at all the images from the past year. I feel so very blessed to be able to experience all these things and capture them on camera.
This year also brought some changes that is putting me on a new path. Junie and I have been shooting and working together for many years. I don't know very many husbands who would not only work their full time job, but also help their wives every weekend shoot a wedding for 10 plus hours. He has always been so supportive of what I do and in no way could I have gotten this far without him. Junie however is moving on to new adventures. He will be shooting a couple of weddings with me next year, but for the most part he is retiring from the wedding business. I will also be retiring the Marfalite Studios name and proudly going by Lesley Villarreal. There are also some other exciting new things to come. I can't tell you any of that stuff yet, but I am super excited about what is ahead in 2018.
I want to thank all of my clients for trusting us to capture your most precious moments, my beloved town of Marfa for being beautiful and inspiring, Sarah Vasquez for being an incredible friend and a wonderful assistant who has taught me everything I know about social networking, and my husband for supporting me and helping me all these years.
I wish everyone a happy and blessed new year! See y'all in 2018!
