Pretty much every blog and article I see on the internet about Marfa is all about the art and the "hipsters" that flock here to see it. There is a lot more to this beautiful town then just the artist community. There are generations that have been here for years. Brit Webb is one of those special people. I got that chance to hang out with him at his shop last month. At one point he even put me to work having me help him put air in a tire. He is full of stories and has a laugh that could brighten your entire day. After 30 years, Brit had to close his shop as he is heading to Austin to receive treatment for cancer. My good friend Sarah Vasquez is a reporter for the paper here in Marfa and wrote a great story about Brit. You can read it here http://bigbendnow.com/2015/03/last-of-the-webb-brothers-closes-shop-in-marfa/ I am sending all the healing vibes I possibly can to Mr. Webb.
