In my experience most weddings can last well over 12 hours. In that time frame we get to witness and document so many special moments. We fall in love with every single couple we meet. By the end of the wedding we feel like we've known them for years. I really can't imagine doing anything else. This year Junie and I got to experience all of that first hand during our very own wedding. What a strange and beautiful experience it was being on the other end. 2015 was an incredible year. As all years go, it came with it's ups and downs, but honestly most of them were ups. It was officially my second year of being a full time wedding photographer and my now husband has been by my side assisting me with every wedding. He also has his own full time job, so the fact that he occupies most of his weekends to help me is pretty amazing. Two years ago he had never even held a camera, and now he is blowing my mind with his new skills. Becoming a wedding photographer completely changed the way I approached photography and has been the best learning experience I could have asked for. I still have so much more to learn, and many more challenges to tackle. I look forward to what 2016 will bring. As for 2015: We traveled, made new friends, saw many sun rises and sunsets, witnessed love, documented love, stared at the milky way dozens of times, ate, drank, and yes, got married. Here are few images Junie and I captured in the year 2015. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year from Marfalite Studios!
